BFT INTERNATIONAL Betonwerk + Fertigteil-Technik

BFT INTERNATIONAL Concrete Plant + Precast Technology has been the recognized trade journal for manufacturers of concrete and precast concrete products as well as for companies specializing in precast construction for over seven decades. It addresses primarily the executive personnel of this important segment of industry and is distributed worldwide.

The technical articles in BFT INTERNATIONAL provide comprehensive information on the mechanical equipment in the plants – ranging from mixing processes to actual production, all the way to the transport of the finished products. The articles, apart from reporting on scientific findings in concrete technology as well as reinforcement and connection engineering, also focus on questions of organization and rationalization. In the case of modern concrete and precast concrete plants, the current technical statuses of the individual production branches are presented. In parallel to this, the product and project presentations provide ideas for design and construction. Furthermore, the innovations of companies and associations and the product news featured make it possible to closely follow what is happening in the precast industry.

BFT INTERNATIONAL is a “mediator” between the building materials machinery/supplier industries and precast plants as well as a platform for an international exchange of experience that takes into consideration the latest scientific findings.

The overview for building with prefab concrete parts

With the 2009 Annual for concrete and prefab parts, a 336-page, richly illustrated work in full colour is available, providing comprehensive information for planners and constructors on the latest developments in prefab concrete construction and concrete technology.

The themes are clearly arranged in the five chapters Architecture, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, Standards and Prospects. Comprehensive summaries of the currently valid standards, an index of addresses of all branch associations and societies and a suppliers’ register make the Annual a lasting reference book for all important contacts.

In the chapters Building Construction and Civil Engineering there are technically well-founded articles on the latest developments, both in building materials technology and in the implementation of new products and building systems. Themes such as sustainability, fire protection and earthquake-resistant building are also discussed.

In the section Standards, the articles deal with codes of practice and new standards which elucidate and illustrate the practical implementation and application of the rules. Experiences and suggestions are found in the section “Environment / Prospects”, giving tips, for example, on high energy value houses or articles on the density of concrete.

The 2009 Annual for concrete and prefab parts is a book, with which the publishers do justice to the title "Annual" in a special form!
